Niyora Filing Assistant - Privacy Policy
Last updated 8 June 2026
What this extension is
The Niyora Filing Assistant is a Chrome extension for Company Secretary (CS) firms that use Niyora. When a CS starts a filing in the Niyora web app, the extension opens the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) portal and helps fill the on-screen form with that client's data, inside the CS's own authenticated MCA session. It is operated by Niyora and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
Data the extension handles
The extension only receives data that the CS chooses to send when they start a filing. This may include:
- Company details (proposed names, capital structure, registered office address, objectives).
- Director / subscriber details, which can include names, PAN, Aadhaar, contact and address information.
- The chosen MCA form and a short-lived filing token used to authenticate calls back to Niyora.
- The Service Request Number (SRN) read from the MCA confirmation screen after submission.
The extension does not collect browsing history, does not track you across sites, and does not read MCA pages other than the form you are actively filling.
How the data is used
The data is used solely to:
- Match the client's information to the fields on the MCA form and fill them for your review.
- Send the captured SRN back to your Niyora account so the filing is recorded.
We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it for any purpose unrelated to the filing feature described here.
Storage and transmission
Filing context is stored locally in the browser via chrome.storage.local and is automatically deleted after 30 minutes (or when the filing is reported). Data is transmitted over HTTPS only between the extension and Niyora's servers to perform field mapping and to record the SRN. The extension does not send your data to any third party other than Niyora.
Permissions
- storage - holds the active filing context locally so the assistant can fill the form; cleared automatically.
- Host access to mca.gov.in - required to read and fill the MCA form on the page you are on.
- Connection from the Niyora web app - only the Niyora app can hand a filing to the extension.
Data controller and your rights
The client data handled by the extension is provided and controlled by your CS firm (the Niyora account holder). Requests to access, correct, or delete client data should be made through that firm and are governed by Niyora's main privacy policy.
Limited use
Niyora's use of information received from this extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
